Dr. George Will is a well known journalist, columnist (Opinion Writer for the Washington Post), and Pulitzer prize winning author. His column is syndicated in nearly 500 newspapers, making it the largest syndicated column in the U.S. reaching almost one-third of newspaper readers.
Dr. Will was a contributing editor at Newsweek for 35 years. He addresses diverse topics ranging from politics to baseball. He appears regularly on television’s Fox News daytime and prime time programing. He has written thirteen books, including Men At Work which has been recently re-released in a 20th anniversary edition, and is the all-time best selling book on baseball.
Dr. Will is a member of Major League Baseball’s Blue Ribbon Panel examining the economics of baseball. He is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, Oxford University, and Princeton University where he received a MA and Ph.D. in politics. Before entering journalism, Dr. Will taught political philosophy at Michigan State University, University of Toronto, and Harvard University.
On October 22, 2013 Dr. Will addressed the Forum Assembly at Brigham Young University. His talk entitled “The Political Argument Today,” addresses the dangers to America’s traditional values which made it great, and the current trends in our “entitlement state” including the financial and moral problems generated by the state.
